LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A woman is facing charges after she was found in possession of marijuana-laced treats.

It happened around 3:41 p.m. Thursday in a parking lot off KY 490.

Officials say 31-year-old Ashley N. Mullins, of East Bernstadt, was arrested following an investigation where deputies discovered her plates were expired.

During the investigation deputies interviewed Mullins, who had slurred speech and blood shot eyes. She was determined to be under the influence.

In addition, deputies found that Mullins was in possession of three Rice Krispies Treats and three fudge candy bars laced with marijuana. She told officials she had baked marijuana into them.

Mullins was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of marijuana, no registration plates, and no registration receipt.
