PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The landscape of Lee’s Ford Marina shows more waterfront than ever and that’s not a good thing.
Boat owner Buddy Wilson said he has never seen it like this before in the 24 years he’s been docking his boat there. The houseboats and pontoons are fine, but the parking lots are under water.
Even the guard shack is up to its doorknob in the lake.
Wilson commends how the marina is handling the situation.
“Our boats will be fine, they’re designed to float. The marina is doing a good job of raising and lowering the docks, but I feel sorry for people in low-lying areas, riverbanks, and creek banks and so forth,” he said.
With more rain in the forecast, Wilson doesn’t look for the lake to recede anytime soon.
