BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Boyle County Sheriff’s Department and Kentucky State Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Perryville bank early Friday morning.
It happened around 9 a.m. at Monticello Bank off US 150.
Officials say the suspect walked in with a handgun and then demanded money from a teller.
After the man got some cash, he fled the scene on foot.
He is described as a 50-year-old white man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, hat, blue jeans, and brown boots.

Perryville Elementary School is on a soft lockdown due to the incident and have been told to be extremely vigilant.
