LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – With a cold forecast over the days ahead, that means a busy week ahead for places like the Catholic Action Center.

Every night this week they’ll be out serving the community, but in order to do so, they need your help.

In cold temperatures, the Compassionate Caravan will be out delivering supplies to anyone on the streets who need them.

“When it gets below 32, that’s when we open up the gathering room and it’s when the Compassionate Caravan goes out. They run to it! They run to it! I went to a few weeks ago I went to McDonald’s and before I got out of the van, a line of people,” said CAC volunteer George Withers.

The center is in need of sleeping bags and long underwear for the caravan. The Catholic Action Center is also in need of disinfectant spray and paper towels.

Supplies can be dropped off at 1055 Industry Road.
