LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Harrodsburg man and woman face at least 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges of producing child pornography, authorities say.

U.S. Department of Justice officials with the Eastern District of Kentucky announced Tuesday that 37-year-old Anastasia C. Vandergriff and Rafael W. Poynter pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography.

According to authorities, Mercer County deputies received a complaint Jan. 21, 2017, and obtained a warrant to search the pair’s Harrodsburg home.

Police said Poynter’s cellphone was seized and investigators later found “multiple videos
depicting the sexual abuse, which was perpetrated by Vandergriff and directed and
filmed by Poynter.”

Officials said Vandergriff and Poynter each face 15 to 30 years in prison for the offense. Poynter is scheduled to be sentenced May 28 and Vandergriff on June 3.
