State Unemployment Rate Lowest Since 2000

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky’s annual unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level in 19 years.

From 2017 to 2018 it dropped from 4.9 percent to 4.3 percent.

That’s the lowest annual jobless rate for the state since 2000 when the rate was 4.2 percent.

Meanwhile, the US annual unemployment rate dropped to 3.9 percent in 2018 from 4.4 percent in 2017.
