HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (The News-Enterprise)– Prosecutors are planning to seek the death penalty against a man accused of shooting four people in Hardin County.

Shadrach Peeler, 35, appeared in court Tuesday after being indicted last week on numerous charges.

He’s accused of killing Cherie Turner, the woman he lived with in Elizabethtown, back on Feb. 21.

Police say he then went to a gas station, killed the store’s co-owner, and injured two others.

Peeler faces several charges, including murder and assault.

If the death penalty is not sought, Peeler could face between 20 years to life in prison.
