(LEX 18)– A Northern Kentucky woman’s book is now a Netflix movie.
Sheila Williams is the author of “Dancing on the Edge of the Roof”, which inspired the film “Juanita”.
In the film, Emmy award winner Alfre Woodard stars as Juanita, a fed up nurse and mother who hits the road in search of something new.
TV heartthrob Blair Underwood also stars in the flick as a wackier version of himself who exists in Juanita’s rich fantasy life.
Williams describes the film as a little bit of comedy, romance, and drama.
“Juanita” premiers on Friday.
