ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– No injuries were sustained Friday morning in a crash involving a state trooper.
It happened on KY 801 near the intersection with Rice Road.
Kentucky State Police say a vehicle, operated by Nathan Vernatter, was heading westbound on Rice Road approaching KY 801 when he was unable to stop.
Vernatter reportedly traveled across both lanes of traffic and T-boned a second vehicle, operated by Cody Lewis. Lewis spun into the path of Trooper Justin Reynolds.
The accident is under investigation.
