MARION COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is searching for the person responsible for causing $3,000 in damage to a church cemetery over the weekend.
According to the sheriff, it appears someone drove a pick-up truck all around the cemetery and knocked down a bunch of shrubbery and small trees. They also spray painted sidewalks in the area.
The truck was found abandoned at the scene because it got stuck in the mud. Officials know the owner of the truck, but haven’t been able to make contact with them.
No damage was reported to headstones or graves.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s department.
