BATH COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – One person is dead and one person was taken to the hospital after a crash on I-64 in Bath County.
According to Owingsville police, a semi-truck going east crossed the center line at the 120 milemarker and struck a pickup truck going west. Both vehicles went over the embankment
The driver of the pickup has been identified as 44-year-old Christopher Short, of Mount Sterling. He died at the scene.
The driver of the semi is 47-year-old John Walls, of Beecher City, Illinois, according to KSP. Walls was transported to Saint Claire Regional Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
