LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two young men were taken to UK Medical Center with gunshot wounds.
Lexington Police were called to the Valero for a shots-fired call Wednesday around 7:40 p.m.. When they arrived, they found the two men. One was in the parking lot of the building next to Valero.
Their conditions are unknown at this time.
Police say they chased a person of interest who was running through yards. That person was caught near Appian Way and they have been detained. Police say there are two people total in custody.
Xavier Walker has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault and one count of fleeing and evading police.
Police say that no officers were injured and their officers did not fire any shots.
Centre Parkway was blocked off between Appian Way and Milano Road during the investigation but has since reopened.
