PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Wednesday marked the one year anniversary of the death of Pikeville Officer Scotty Hamilton.
He was shot and killed on the job last March.
Hamilton was investigating a theft when a fellow officer heard shots.
Hamilton was badly hurt and died a short time later.
Those who knew and loved Hamilton spent the day remembering him.
He was a 12-year veteran of the Pikeville Police Department, and left behind a wife and a baby.
