KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (Corbin News-Journal) – A house party turned ugly last Sunday after a London man allegedly threatened to kill everyone.

According to the News Journal, Knox County sheriff’s deputies arrested Lavarius Williams on eight counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. A 911 call came from a residence near Moore Hill Avenue.

Initially, the paper reports that officers believed that Williams was armed, leading to a standoff situation. Partygoers were able to confirm that they had taken the gun away from Williams and deputies made entry.

Once cuffed, officials on scene said that Williams managed to get the handcuffs in front of him and unbuckle his seat belt before attempting to kick the window out of the cruiser.

Investigators say Williams also gave marijuana and alcohol to juveniles at the party. He’s also been charged with resisting arrest, third-degree escape, third-degree assault on a police officer, third-degree terroristic threatening, menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct.
