BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A woman was injured by a falling tree while walking her dog in Jackson Park Thursday.
Emergency Management officials say a gust of wind uprooted a tree and struck the woman. The tree was rotten and came down very quickly.
The woman did sustain injuries but EMA did not know the extent.
Across town on Kinnard Kelley Lane, a small portion of a tin roof was ripped off of a house by high winds. The part of the roof hit live wires, causing the power to go out for around 2,500 people.
