ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) – An investigation is underway after Kentucky State Police say an Anderson County woman hired someone to kill her husband. Police say his wife, Amanda Rogers, is responsible.

A friend of Amanda Rogers, who wants to stay anonymous, stands by her, saying she wouldn’t do this. She believes the attack on Christopher Rogers had nothing to do with Amanda. She describes her as a very loving wife and mother of three kids.

“She never said she any real big problems with him, so it just baffles me how this could happen,” said her friend.

Amanda’s friend thinks a drug dealer attacked Christopher Rogers, and says Amanda told her he was wanted by a dangerous man.

“She had said some things about that she would never hurt her husband or have someone hurt her husband, and it was the drug dealer that come after him, and it wasn’t on her behalf.”

Rogers’ arrest report says she discussed killing her husband on “multiple occasions.” She will be arraigned in Anderson County Court on Monday morning.

Christopher Rogers is in critical condition at UK Hospital.
