KSP: Vehicle Hit Child Riding Bike

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky State Police say that a kid riding a bicycle was hit by a vehicle in Grayson County Monday.

KSP said around 5:38 p.m.CDT, they received a call from the Grayson County Sheriff to assist in the investigation.

Their preliminary investigation determined that a woman was traveling west on Millerstown Road in an SUV when the 11-year-old boy entered the roadway on a bicycle and into the path of the woman’s vehicle. KSP said she attempted to avoid hitting the child but was unsuccessful.

The boy was airlifted to North Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. KSP says he is listed in critical condition.
