BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Covington woman is dead following a weekend crash in Boone County.
It happened around 3:45 a.m. Sunday on Walton Verona Road at Vest Lane.
Officials were called to the scene for a report of an injury accident. When they arrived, it was determined that a car had traveled over the embankment and was partially overturned near a small creek.
Deputies located a person, later identified as 23-year-old Jaliyah D. Jackson, believed to have been an occupant of the vehicle and who was ejected during the collision.
Lifesaving measures were attempted on Jackson, but they were unsuccessful. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
