LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Leaders with the city of Lexington are reviewing the annual Thriller Parade after concerns were raised over whether the city should pay homage to Michael Jackson.
The late singer has recently come under fire again with accusations of sexually abusing children after the release of the HBO documentary “Leaving Neverland.”
In the tweet, the City of Lexington said that they evaluate the events on an ongoing basis.
We evaluate events on an ongoing basis. W/ Thriller we're at the earliest stages of this process. Parks will provide Commissioner Geoff Reed w/ options. And we'll be talking to community members. After the evaluation is complete, Geoff will discuss recommendations w/ @MayorGorton
