Police: Lexington Man Held After High-Speed Chase Through 4 Counties

RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police say troopers arrested a Lexington man after a high-speed chase early Tuesday morning through four counties.

Authorities said 19-year-old Teonte White is facing several charges after the alleged incident.

According to police, a trooper attempted to pull over the silver 2011 Dodge Avenger that White was driving around 4 a.m. on Interstate Highway 75 in Madison County after clocking the vehicle traveling at 104 m.p.h.

Officials say White refused to stop, leading police on a high-speed chase into parts of Rockcastle, Laurel and Knox counties.

Police say the chase ended outside of Barbourville on Kentucky Highway 6.

White was charged with speeding and first-degree flee and evading police.

He was being held in the Madison County Detention Center.
