LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– Prosecutors have identified three drugs in the system of the driver accused of crashing into and killing a police detective.
Roger Burdette has been indicted on seven charges, including aggravated DUI and murder of a police officer.
These charges are in relation to the Christmas Eve crash near downtown that killed Deidre Mengedoht.
During a bond reduction hearing Monday, prosecutors said test results showed Burdette had Hydrocodone, Zoloft, and an anti-seizure and panic attack medication in his system.
His public defender argued the results don’t mean he was under the influence at the time of the crash.
