LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Lexington Comic and Toy Convention, known as Comic-Con, is going on in the Lexington Convention Center and a local restaurant is celebrating with a fun menu.
Four actors who were in the popular show “The Office” are in town. You may know them as Meredith, Stanley, Creed, and Oscar. You can meet Kate Flannery, Leslie David Baker, Creed Bratton, and Oscar Nunez at the convention Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
When the chefs at local restaurant Oscar Diggs heard that the four were coming to the Bluegrass, they got to work.
“This year there’s half of the cast from “The Office” is going to be here so they decided that we’re going to run an Office-style event,” said Rob Windels, the general manager of Oscar Diggs.
The event has Office-inspired dishes including ham and cheese sandwiches, Kevin’s Famous Chili, and tuna.
They hope that the cast will visit.
“We had reached out to one of the characters in The Office to see if she’d do a plug for us. That didn’t happen, unfortunately. We’d love to get them down here,” said Windels.
The special themed menu lasts until Oscar Diggs closes on Saturday night.
