LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police said two people were killed in a crash early Sunday morning in Lewis County.
Authorities said 65-year-old Kathy G. Hardy was driving eastbound on Kentucky Highway 8 when her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Arica J. Jarrels.
The women, both Vanceburg residents, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said.
Kentucky State Police said the crash remains under investigation but that there were no known witnesses to the collision.
