Posted

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police said a young woman was lucky to escape injury Sunday morning when the sport-utility vehicle she was driving flipped after hitting a mailbox on Lexington’s southwest side.

Officials were called out just before 11 a.m. to reports of a flipped vehicle in the 4200 block of East Heathmoor Court.

A resident tells LEX 18 that she heard a loud bang, told her mother to call 911 and found the car on its hood in the street.

She said she helped a young woman crawl from the vehicle.

Police said they did not expect charges to be filed in the case.
