Man Found Guilty Of Homicide In Shooting Outside Lexington Bar

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – The man accused of shooting a good Samaritan who was trying to break up a fight at a Lexington bar has been found guilty of murder.

Leslie Parson shot Jacob Skyler Ray in May of 2016 outside Saddle Ridge Bar. Ray attempted to intervene in an altercation but was shot.

Ray did not immediately die of his injuries but passed away from complications in September the same year. Parson was charged with his murder.

The jury recommended a sentence of 25 years. He will be formally sentenced on May 10.
