LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Lincoln County Coroner tells LEX 18 that a body was found in Lincoln County.

He said that KSP called him to notify him about the body found off of Highway 1778 in South Fork.

The coroner said that the body was severely decomposed.

The body was found by someone who was dumping stuff, according to the coroner.

The Lincoln County Sheriff says that the person’s death is not considered suspicious. On Friday, KSP said that the man has been identified as 57-year-old Patrick W. Cook, of Waynesburg, who was reported missing in December.

The coroner said that the autopsy showed Cook’s injuries were consistent with fall from trestle bridge.
