LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The day after being arrested for allegedly violating home incarceration rules, the man accused in the Christmas Eve crash that killed a Louisville police officer has been released to home incarceration once more.

Burdette was released on home incarceration pending his trial in the death of Detective Deidre Mengedoht. He was charged with murder and DUI.

Roger Burdette was arrested and charged with violating his home incarceration Thursday after he failed a drug test.  As a condition of his release, Burdette was not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs.

According to WAVE 3 News in Louisville, a confirmation test showed that there were no unauthorized substances in Burdette’s system.
