KANSAS CITY, Mo. (LEX 18) – Clearly not the outcome fans were hoping for in True Blue Kansas City.

The confetti that fell from the rafters was not blue and white, but fans say they enjoyed the ride this season.

The energy was high heading into the Sprint Center before this Elite Eight match up.

A big turnout from Kentucky fans once again, but the Auburn contingency also came loud and proud.

Cats fans were on the edge of their seats when the game went into overtime at 60 apiece, but the Tigers came out victorious.

Kentucky fans streamed out of the Sprint Center disappointed the run is over.

“Good season. Good players. Heartbreaking, heartbreaking ending. But Auburn, they definitely deserved it,” said Gabby Powell.

“The Southeast is getting better. We expect too much year in and year out, but it is what it is. Some people are a little down on Calipari underachiever. I don’t believe that. Tough games, tough coaching, and I just hope we can continue,” said Charles Neal.
