Gunshot Victim Shows Up At Lexington Hospital Following Shots Fired Call

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police are investigating after a man showed up to Good Samaritan Hospital with a gunshot wound.

A shots fired call came in around 3:48 a.m. in the area of 4th and Chestnut streets.

Officials say when officers arrived on scene they didn’t find anything.

About an hour later, a man walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim told police he and some friends were walking in the area when a white truck drove by and fired several shots.

Police went back out to the area and found that a house and two vehicles had been hit by gunfire. Several shell casings were also found.

The victim has non-life threatening injuries.
