LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man accused in the murder of his toddler appeared in a Laurel County courtroom Friday.
The body of 1-year-old Joseph Brock was found inside of a washing machine in a burning home last weekend at the Marvin Gardens Mobile Home Park.
Kentucky State Police say that after the fire broke out his father, 26-year-old Vaughn Brock, ran from the scene.
Brock was found days later and charged with murder and first-degree arson.
A judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf and set his bond at $500,000.
He is expected to be in court again April 9.
