KSP: Man Charged With Murder After Body Found Buried In Back Yard

WAYLAND, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky State Police have charged a man with murder after a body was discovered buried in a back yard in Floyd County.

After receiving the information about the body, KSP said that troopers and detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence. Just after 4 p.m Thursday., the body was discovered in a shallow grave.

On Friday, the victim in the case was identified as 26-year-old Jordan C. Tackett, of East Point. KSP opened a missing persons investigation for him in February 2019.

KSP says that 44-year-old Wesley Martin, of Wayland, was charged with murder and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
