LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– The City of Lexington is hosting a household hazardous wastes (HHW) disposal event Saturday.
From 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., residents can drop off their items at 1631 Old Frankfort Pike (enter the site via Jimmie Campbell Drive).
The following items can be dropped off:
- Acids
- Adhesives (floor, tile, etc)
- Aerosol cans
- Alcohols
- Algaecides/fungicides
- Ammonia
- Antifreeze
- Ballast PBCs
- Batteries (auto, boat, etc)
- Carburetor cleaner
- Caulking
- Cooking oil/grease
- Chlorine
- Cleaners (engine, carpet, drain, etc)
- Cylinders (propane, helium)
- Degreasers
- Diesel fuel
- Disinfectants
- Dyes
- Electronics (see lexingtonky.gov/ecycle)
- Fertilizers
- Fire extinguishers
- Floor waxes
- Fuel oil
- Furniture strippers
- Gas and diesel additives
- Gasoline (old)
