LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) -The man arrested at the scene of a fire on Lady Di Lane in Lexington is charged with arson.
Police say Cornelius Murphy, 32, was arrested due to a domestic dispute that was reported shortly before the fire broke out. After being questioned by an investigator, Murphy was charged with first-degree arson.
Neighbors say it would be out of character for their neighborhood if it’s proven the fire was deliberate.
A criminal complaint alleges Murphy intentionally set fire to the apartment building. He is currently being held in the Fayette County jail under a $10,000 bond.
