POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police in Stanton are searching for a man accused in an attempted abduction.
It happened Thursday morning near the airport.
According to a Facebook post made by police, a man tried to talk a child into getting into his van. The child, who was waiting for the school bus, ran into his home and told his aunt. When the aunt confronted the man, he begged her not to call the police.
Police say the vehicle is described as an older, full size van with tinted windows, and damage on the passenger side sliding door.
The suspect is described as a white male with a short beard.
