PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– For three nights in a row, Carmelo Malpica and his fiance Jessica Smith have had an unwelcome visitor.

It started out as a nuisance, but now, the visit from the black bear is frightening for the family. Thursday night, the bear even broke a window.

“I have two dogs, two cats, and my five-year-old, and my five-year-old is my biggest concern,” said Smith.

When Malpica reviewed the security footage earlier this week, he thought that it was the same bear who visited back in October.

“Back with a vengeance and he’s ready to get his belly full, and I’m hoping that he’ll realize he can’t get his belly full around here, and he’ll go on somewhere else,” said Malpica.

The family has contacted Fish and Wildlife and they expect to meet with a bear biologist in the coming days.
