LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– If you’re headed to downtown Lexington on Friday be aware traffic could be a little heavier due to a school performance of “Disney On Ice: Frozen.”
The performance is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Rupp Arena.
Downtown traffic will be affected between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m, and noon to 1 p.m.
Officials say drivers traveling in and out of downtown near the Lexington Center and Rupp Arena are strongly advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid High Street and Broadway traffic.
We’re told people should also allow extra time for their morning and lunchtime commutes.
