LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Bill Murray sightings are the stuff of internet legend. Fans of the actor have reported having bizarre run-ins in multiple settings and pictures of him photo-bombing unsuspecting people are everywhere online.

It was a foregone conclusion that Murray would probably be spotted around the Bluegrass more often after his son was hired as an assistant coach at the University of Louisville. It seems as though the actor has traveled east to Lexington.

Thursday night, Murray swung by Bourbon on Rye for a chance to sample some adult beverages.

“My Jaw definitely dropped for a second,” said bartender Taylor Taulbee. “Then I went back to work, but I was definitely floating for the rest of the evening.”

That wasn’t the only sighting. Samantha Fore, the owner of Tuk Tuk Sri Lankan Bites, said that Murray asked for a to-go order of her fried chicken and biscuits.

“In possibly the weirdest pop-up turn of events ever, Bill Murray housed a to go order of my fried chicken and biscuits. Keeneland, man.” wrote Fore.

The thing about Bill Murray sightings is that no one tends to know that he was around until hours after he leaves town. Much like the elusive gopher in Caddyshack, he pops up when you least expect him and is gone again just as quickly.
