Suspect In City’s Latest Homicide Taken Into Custody

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) -Police have arrested a man in connection with the city’s latest homicide.

Damarcus D. Jones was apprehended Monday morning after a traffic stop at the Tates Creek Centre. Jones was wanted in connection to the shooting death of a man at the Coolavin Apartments on Saturday.

Police say the two had been involved in a disorder prior to the shooting.

Jones is charged with murder and has been lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
