SOMERSET, Ky. (LEX 18) – A former Somerset coach and teacher was arrested Monday after officials say he attempted to solicit a former student for sex.
Stephen Wallace was arrested on a charge of solicitation of prostitution. Court documents say Wallace contacted a 17-year-old former student using a fake name. The girl’s boyfriend replied back and told Wallace that she was 21-years-old.
Police say during the conversation he offered the teen girl $75 for an encounter.
The documents go on to state that Wallace followed up with the girl’s mother who police say was aware of the previous conversation. He also allegedly sent explicit photos of himself.
Wallace was a soccer coach at Somerset High School for years. He has since bonded out of jail.
