LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police are looking for the suspect who they say tried to violently rob a Waffle House employee.
It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the location on Plaudit Place in the Hamburg area.
Police say the employee went outside for a break when the suspect approached him with a gun.
They say he demanded money, before dropping the gun, picking it back up, and then tackling the victim, punching him several times.
The employee has minor head injuries.
We’re told the suspect had a goatee and was wearing a gray hoodie with blue jeans. He is estimated to be in his early 20s.
Police called out the K-9 unit to assist in their search.
