(LEX 18)– A portion of the Daniel Boone National Forest is back open after a wildfire shut the area down.

The fire consumed more than 20 acres of the Wildcat Ridge area of Clifty Wilderness in the Red River Gorge.

All trails and campgrounds were off limits to visitors as the fire burned.

Forest officials posted to Facebook on Monday saying those areas are now open for public use, that includes Wildcat Trail #228 and Swift Camp Creek Trail # 219.

All trials in the gorge are open at this time.
