‘Barricade Situation’ In Clay City Ends Peacefully

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky State Police say a “barricade situation” in Clay City has ended peacefully.

It began early Thursday morning at a home on Shiloh Road.

KSP tell LEX 18 a man came home from work and was met by two unknown male subjects outside. The homeowner then got back in his car, left the scene, and called police.

Once officers arrived at the residence, they say that several attempts were made to have contact with the individuals inside the residence.

Hours later, three people came out of the home, Tommy Petrey, Donald Lewis, and Regina Whisman. KSP says that Whisman, 38, of Clay City, resides at the residence. She is charged with Hindering Prosecution 2nd Degree (1 count). Petrey, 47 years of age, of Williamsburg, Ky., is charged with Poss. of Firearm by a Convicted Felon (1 count). Lewis, 37 years of age, of Louisville Ky., is charged with Poss. of a Convicted Felon (1 count). Lewis was also charged on an unrelated arrest warrant.

They were lodged in the Powell County Detention Center.  The incident remains under investigation.
