FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– President Donald Trump has approved disaster declarations for parts of the Bluegrass that experienced damage during February and March’s severe weather events.
The approval means federal funding will be available to help support flood and storm relief efforts.
It will go to state, certain local governments, and private nonprofit organizations for emergency work and repair of facilities damaged by the severe weather.
57 Kentucky counties were approved for funding.
