LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man and woman are facing charges after Kentucky State Police say they were found with about 2.5 pounds of meth.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Cromer Ridge Road.

Troopers say initiated a traffic stop after getting behind a truck that committed several traffic violations.

During the stop, 57-year-old Timmy Fields, of East Bernstadt, was reportedly found to be under the influence of drugs.

While searching his truck, troopers say they found over two pounds of meth and other drug paraphernalia inside.

Fields was arrested and is facing multiple charges.

His passenger, 44-year-old Traci Rayburn, was also arrested on drug charges.

Both are being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.
