Murray Teacher And Track Coach Resigns Amidst Charges

MURRAY, KY (WPSD) — A high school track coach accused of recording people in a high school bathroom has resigned.

According to WPSD Local 6, Mark Boggess has resigned from his position as teacher and coach with the Murray Independent School District.

Boggess was scheduled to appear in court on Monday, but that was continued because he bonded out. He was accused of placing a camera in a nurses station of the high school.

Police say they identified Boggess because video on the device recorded him setting it up in the bathroom.

He is now scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 14.

Boggess is charged with three counts of possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and four counts of voyeurism.
