BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police have identified the man found in a river in Breathitt County.
Authorities said they were called out about 9 a.m. to a stretch of the North Fork of the Kentucky River after the body was discovered. Officials said the body was recovered and Breathitt County Coroner Hargis Epperson officially pronounced the person dead at 10:45 a.m.
KSP said the body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy. Through investigation, officials determined the individual was Kenneth D. Neace, 44, of Jackson.
Neace was the subject of a recent missing person investigation.
