MUHLENBURG COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Several people in western Kentucky were sent to the hospital Monday morning due to a chlorine leak.
Dispatchers in Muhlenberg County say crews were working with chlorine at the pool in the Central City Convention Center, when several people became overwhelmed by fumes.
They say about 50 people evacuated the building.
According to health officials, 23 people were sent to a local hospital.
There’s no word on their conditions.
