LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Toyota rear-ended a Cadillac, forcing it into the back of a Fayette County School bus Wednesday.
The crash happened at the intersection of Versailles Road and Alexandria Drive around 4:45 p.m.
Police say that the school bus was stopped and the Cadillac was stopped behind it. They say that the driver of the Toyota was trying to reach his phone when he rear-ended the Cadillac, forcing it into the bus.
The driver of the Cadillac was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was cited for not having a valid driver’s license.
There were five students on the bus, with multiple bus monitors on board. The kids are all ok. One was picked up by a parent.
