HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– An investigation is underway following a shooting in Harlan County.

It happened just before 3 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 219 in Wallins.

Troopers say 26-year-old Tommy Shackleford was inside a home with Eric Edens when 35-year-old Brian Owens came inside.

After a fight, troopers say Shackleford pulled out a gun and shot Owens.

We’re told Owens drove away from the home and was stopped by troopers on US 119.

Owens was taken to the hospital to be treated.

So far, no arrests have been made.
