Student Stabbed At Pulaski County High School

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A student has been stabbed at Pulaski County High School.

According to officials with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, there was an altercation between two students during a class change just after 1:15. They say it happened in a boy’s restroom.

The school was briefly placed on lockdown while the school was secured. The sheriff’s office said that the incident was between the two male students and no other students were involved.

One student was taken into custody by a school resource officer. He was charged with assault first degree.

The victim was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional. He was airlifted from there to UK Medical Center.

We do not know their condition, but the students who spoke with LEX 18 said the victim is alert and has responded to text messages from friends.
